Meet Our Doctor
Paul J. Draayer, OD
Born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, Dr. Paul Draayer attended Sioux Falls Christian high school, where he participated in sports (basketball, baseball, soccer, and track), music (band and choir), oral interp, quiz bowl, and much more.
He went on to earn a BA in ACS Chemistry at Augustana College (now University) in Sioux Falls, SD. He still cheers on the Vikings at home basketball games.
He left the midwest to obtain his doctorate at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Dr. Draayer began his first four years practicing optometry with Avera Medical Group - Optometry in Mitchell, SD. He returned home to Sioux Falls to work for Avera Medical Group - Eye Care for three and a half years, before he established his practice in the Sioux Falls area in the summer of 2020.
Dr. Paul loves his career and the people he serves. His patients love his willingness to listen, pursuit of perfection, and positive spirit. He is dedicated to being knowledgeable in the field and seeks out opportunities for continued advancement in techniques to restore vision and healthy eyes. Dr. Paul is currently serving as President of the South Dakota Chapter of VOSH International (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the South Dakota Optometric Society (SDOS).
Beyond optometry, Dr. Paul enjoys watching, playing, and coaching any and all sports. Additionally, he delights in working out, kayaking, biking, cooking, learning new things, and spending time with family (especially his nieces Taya, Kia, and Layla and nephew Bennett).

Patient Services Representative
Amy Tweton
Born and raised in Portland, OR, Amy enjoys reading, cooking, and getting outdoors as much as she can. Amy attended Portland Community College and received an AS in Medical Administration. In 2022, Amy and her family took a leap of faith and moved to the Sioux Falls area.
Amy has over 5 years of experience assisting patients in various medical settings. She feels very fortunate that she was led to work in an environment and for an employer and staff that genuinely care about the physical, mental, and spritual health of every patient without reservation or discrimination.
Optician
Olha Roseland
Olha moved to Sioux Falls straight from the beautiful Ukrainian city of Rivne back in 2019. She received an Art and Design bachelor degree in 2008 and enjoyed creating interior design projects and art items for over 10 years.
Beyond optician work, Olha enjoys soccer, tennis, fishing, camping, biking, kayaking, cooking, and crafting. She loves to spend time with her husband and two boys.
She is happy to join the FOCUS Optometry and uses her designer skills to help patient choose the best glasses!
Optometric Billing Specialist
Miranda Anderson
Miranda grew up in Rosholt, South Dakota and enjoys hiking, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.
She lived in Arizona for two years, but moved back recently to be closer to family. While living in Arizona her favorite place to hike was Cathedral Rock in Sedona.
She attended the University of Sioux Falls for Elementary Education. Miranda began her experience with eye care in 2020. She received her first pair of glasses after she began working at FOCUS Optometry, and she has never seen so clearly!
Head Technician
Joey Martin
Joey was born and raised in Mitchell, SD, where he spent a lot of his free time hunting and fishing.
Joey earned a BS in Biology from the University of South Dakota before completing Ophthalmic Technologist training at the University of Florida.
Joey has over 15 years of experience in the diagnostic testing and examination of patients with an emphasis on pediatrics.
Beyond eye care, Joey is an excellent painter, and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
