Meet Our Doctor
Paul J. Draayer, OD
Born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, Dr. Paul Draayer attended Sioux Falls Christian high school, where he participated in sports (basketball, baseball, soccer, and track), music (band and choir), oral interp, quiz bowl, and much more.
He went on to earn a BA in ACS Chemistry at Augustana College (now University) in Sioux Falls, SD. He still cheers on the Vikings at home basketball games.
He left the midwest to obtain his doctorate at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.
Dr. Draayer began his first four years practicing optometry with Avera Medical Group - Optometry in Mitchell, SD. He returned home to Sioux Falls to work for Avera Medical Group - Eye Care for three and a half years, before he established his practice in the Sioux Falls area in the summer of 2020.
Dr. Paul loves his career and the people he serves. His patients love his willingness to listen, pursuit of perfection, and positive spirit. He is dedicated to being knowledgeable in the field and seeks out opportunities for continued advancement in techniques to restore vision and healthy eyes. Dr. Paul is currently serving as President of the South Dakota Chapter of VOSH International (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the South Dakota Optometric Society (SDOS).
Beyond optometry, Dr. Paul enjoys watching, playing, and coaching any and all sports. Additionally, he delights in working out, kayaking, biking, cooking, learning new things, and spending time with family (especially his nieces Taya, Kia, and Layla and nephew Bennett).

Patient Service Representative
Bobbi Jo Morris
Bobbi Jo grew up in South Dakota and recently returned to the Sioux Falls area after spending seven years in Florida to be closer to her family. She earned a B.A in Elementary Education from Mount Marty College and a M.S in Educational Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University.
'Bobbi Jo's career in eye care began shortly after graduating from high school in 1991, when she worked as a laboratory technician and optcian at Dueling Optical in Brookings, SD. She has more than three years of experience in the optical field and enjoys helping patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident througout their eye care experience. She is excited to be part of the Focus Optometry team and looks forward to helping patients with their eye care needs.
Outside of work, Bobbi Jo enjoys spending time with her friends and family, making memories with her grandson, spending time with her dogs, and exploring all that the Sioux Falls area has to offer.
Optician
Breann Benning
Breann hails from the bustling, highly populated metropolis of Parker, SD. She has a great love of the feline and canine species.
Her passions include knitting, sock hopping and underwater basket weaving. DO NOT squash bugs near her. As an avid bug enthusiast she turns into a fit of rage.
When she is not observing pool shooting, Breann loves to clean and adjust glasses. Feel free to stop by and visit her 2 minutes before closing as she loves staying late.
Patient Services Representative
Amy Tweton
Born and raised in Portland, OR, Amy enjoys reading, cooking, and getting outdoors as much as she can. Amy attended Portland Community College and received an AS in Medical Administration. In 2022, Amy and her family took a leap of faith and moved to the Sioux Falls area.
Amy has over 5 years of experience assisting patients in various medical settings. She feels very fortunate that she was led to work in an environment and for an employer and staff that genuinely care about the physical, mental, and spritual health of every patient without reservation or discrimination.
Optometric Billing Specialist
Miranda Anderson
Miranda grew up in Rosholt, South Dakota and enjoys hiking, crocheting, and spending time with family and friends.
She lived in Arizona for two years, but moved back recently to be closer to family. While living in Arizona her favorite place to hike was Cathedral Rock in Sedona.
She attended the University of Sioux Falls for Elementary Education. Miranda began her experience with eye care in 2020. She received her first pair of glasses after she began working at FOCUS Optometry, and she has never seen so clearly!
Technician
Jennifer Loughman
Jennifer is a well-traveled, fun-loving, food enthusiast that is originally from North Dakota, but thinks of Montana as her true home. South Dakota is growing on her with the beauty of the clouds and sunsets.
Her background of cosmetology gives her insight into the beauty of the eye, and allows her to manage and care for patient's eye health issues and vision.
In her spare time you can find her painting, reading, or baking and spending time with her husband and kids
Technician
Chase St. Aubin
Chase was raised in Brandon, SD and enjoys playing sports like football, basketball, and golf and spending time active with friends.
Chase is a student at South Dakota State University who is studying Human Biology and Pre-Optometry to become an optometrist himself.
As a technician, Chase is excited to work with patients and learn optometry through patient interaction.
Head Technician
Joey Martin
Joey was born and raised in Mitchell, SD, where he spent a lot of his free time hunting and fishing.
Joey earned a BS in Biology from the University of South Dakota before completing Ophthalmic Technologist training at the University of Florida.
Joey has over 15 years of experience in the diagnostic testing and examination of patients with an emphasis on pediatrics.
Beyond eye care, Joey is an excellent painter, and enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
